Rosalia (Lia) Knudtson grew up in the beauty industry, learning firsthand the balance of authentic hospitality, high standards, and artistic craft. Today, Alia Rose Salon in downtown Westmont stands as a continuation of that heritage, bringing together seasoned colorists, extension specialists, and guests from all over the Chicagoland area.
Growing up inside her parents legendary salon, Hair to Stay, Lia observed how exceptional hair care transformed not just personal appearances, but personal confidence and lifelong community bonds. When the opportunity came to create Alia Rose Salon, named in tribute to her own heritage and daughter, she brought that lifetime of passion to downtown Westmont.
Today, Alia Rose Salon has become a destination for custom balayage, dimensional blonding, precision haircuts, and seamless hand-tied extensions. Each stylist on the team shares the same dedication: elevating individual beauty while creating a sanctuary where every client feels welcomed as family.
